Pain relief

Pain is the common clinical factor for the majority of patients we see at this clinic. Pain can be due to injury or inflammation at the site of pain or may be referred pain as a result of nerve involvement and the transfer of pain sensation to another area of the body. This is common in the well known condition called sciatica. Much of the pain that chiropractors treat has its origin in either spinal joints or the soft tissues such as muscles, ligaments, tendons and other connective tissue. Chiropractic treatment for many pain syndromes has been well tested and researched and found to be fast and effective in reducing the pain.

Correction of Underlying Problems

Pain is a good indicator that either something has been injured and or inflammation has occurred because of some abnormal stress or strain on tissues. The chiropractors expertise is such that they are able to discern the origin of the cause and not just treat the most obvious symptom. The chiropractors attention is not only given to one system of body function, such as the muscles, but to every body system that may be capable of producing pain or dysfunction at the site of involvement. Thus an acute knowledge of joint function, bone abnormalities, nervous system function and even the organ function, is applied by the chiropractor in their determination of the cause. An underlying spinal joint dysfunction is a very common cause of recurrent problems that goes undetected by other health practitioners and very quickly responds to chiropractic treatment. The results obtained by chiropractors is most often due to the correction and improvement in function in the joints, muscles and nervous systems.

Improvement in Quality of Life

Due to that fact that chiropractic treatment is able to improve and correct body function, it is understandable that the varying degrees of disability caused by injury or pain syndromes, can be largely or completely improved. This means the individual is able to enjoy better movement, less pain and an over improvement in everyday activities.

Maintain Good Spinal and Musculoskeletal System Health

Because the chiropractor has the ability to often identify postural, muscular and joint problems that are not yet causing extensive symptoms such as acute pain, the treatment can therefore be in some way preventative of more extensive trouble.
