Accident Compensation and Chiropractic
Both chiropractors at this clinic are registered ACC treatment providers. You are able to register your claim for an injury at this clinic without going to your GP. You will be asked to fill out an ACC45 form and give a description of what happened at the time of injury.
Unless a health organization or a practitioner has contracted to ACC, the total fee for treatment by any treatment provider, will not be covered by ACC. Therefore a surcharge will be charged.
Most injuries treated by chiropractors are covered by ACC for up to one year duration. There is a maximum number of 16 treatments allowable for any one claim. If the injury is extensive and requiring more treatments, an extension can be applied for.
